SPIRIT WEEK 1993 - Junior Carnival

As spectators entered the amphitheater, they were greeted with games, balloons, bright colors, and joyful clowns selling popcorn. The fun started before the skit began.

The skit kicked off the grand opening of a new carnival. Impatient kids stood outside shouting for the opening. "Open, open, open," yelled Julie Norris and Katrina Petrini. Inside it was announced that there would be a dance competition between the Washington Huskies and the Kennedy Titans. The Huskies thought they were sure to win and visited the carnival's mystical furtune teller, Cynthia Salaysay, to confirm it. It was foretold that the Kennedy Titans would defeat the Huskies. Since Washington knew they were doomed, they tricked, captured, and locked the Titans away in the Fun House.

While the Huskies danced and impressed the judges, Kennedy was announced as a "no show." As a result, Kennedy was disqualified and Washington won the competition.

At Friday's rally, the combined spirit of all classes shook the walls of the Fun House until they came crashing down. The juniors "Jumped Around" to victory and won the competition as foretold. They received the trophy and the $1994 prize money!

Just when everyone thought the juniors were through, the class of '94 started dancing again. For the finale, they formed a living peace sign, displaying the importance of peace and unity.
