JFK Class of 1994 Holla!

I graduated from San Francisco State University with a major in Sociology and minor in Asian-American Studies. After college, I worked the non-profit sector providing health education and culturally sensitive information to marginalized Asian and Pacific Islander communities in San Francisco.

I now work as the HIV Project Coordinator at Community Health Awareness Council in Mountain View. I currently reside in South City and am enrolled in the Multimedia Studies Program at San Francisco City College. I plan to start a small video production company creating interactive educational media.

I am also a cultural dancer with LIKHA Pilipino Folk Ensemble and have an upcoming annual performance titled “Lakbay: Indak Awit,” a Journey to Philippine Dance and Music on Sunday, September 5, 2004 at Herbs Theater San Francisco. Come and watch if you’re in town. Tickets are $15 and $20 at www.cityboxoffice.com!

I am also the executive director, founder, and performer of DowneFX Hip-Hop Dance Company - the only downe Asian-American non-profit performing arts organization in the Bay Area. DowneFX (Downe-effect) mission is to provide continuous education of urban arts as a tool to promote empowerment, creativity and social consciousness.

See you all in October, PEACE!
